THS falls to host Tigers

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — Olivia Lower had 21 kills, 20 digs and 20 service points, but Texas High was edged by Mount Pleasant, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-12, at Willie Williams Gym.

Logan Pilgreen had 45 assists to go with 10 service points for the visiting Lady Tigers. Ashlyn Stiger put down 10 kills, made 11 blocks and served in 16 points for THS.

Valeria Perez added 24 digs and 19 service points for the visiting Tigers.

Carrigan Brush served in six points, but Mount Pleasant won the junior varsity match, 25-19, 25-19.

Allison Garza paced the visiting Tigers with seven points, but the host Tigers won the ninth grade contest, 25-16, 25-13.

New Boston downs Hooks

HOOKS, Texas — New Boston beat Hooks Tuesday night in four sets at Hornet Gym, 21-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-20.

Grace Duffer led the Lady Lions with 22 points, three kills and 25 assists, while teammate Lauren Hurst added 12 kills.

Carleigh Reeves finished with 12 kills and three blocks for the Lions.

Hooks won the first junior varsity match with New Boston, 25-17, 25-11.

Megan Daniel and Victoria Burns each poured in three points apiece for the Lions.

Hooks defeated New Boston in the second junior varsity match, 25-17, 25-20.

Kayahna Harrison finished with seven service points for the Lions.

Atlanta tops Queen City

ATLANTA, Texas — Atlanta defeated Queen City in their varsity volleyball match in four sets, 24-26, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Tia Wilson led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points.
