Halloween or Fall Fest?

Which approach to the holiday do you support?

Halloween will soon be here and many look forward to the annual spookfest. They like to get dressed in costumes, decorate their houses with jack-o’-lanterns, ghosts and black cats and take their kids on the traditional “trick or treat” outing.

But there are others who do not celebrate the dark day, usually because of religious reasons. They do not feel it is appropriate to engage in supernatural themes. Several local churches offer an alternative — often called “Trunk or Treat” — instead.

We want to know what you think. Is Halloween and all its dark themes just good fun? Or do you avoid these Halloween traditions in favor of something like fall festivals or trunk and treat?

Last week’s question was about California’s ban on the sale of animal fur products. Do you support a ban on animal fur products? Or are you against any such ban?

Would much rather prefer a ban on California, than a ban on fur.

Ban plastic straws and fur, but you can poop in the street. Leave that madness out there …

Why would I support anything California is for?

Of all the problems and issues to be concerned about, fur is your focus? Really?

I have decided that if California is for something, then I am against it. There are a lot of crazy people living there and running the asylum.

California really seems to have its (expletive) together … it’s all over the sidewalks and in public with the discarded free needles. I think we should be JUST LIKE THEM!
