Winner: Pecan Point Gastropub & Brewery Pecan Point opened in October 2014 and is located in a historic building next to the Perot Theatre. Since then, the culinary team has been serving up quality interpreta­tions of classic gastropub fare with an emphasis on regional cuisine. They proudly serve house-brewed, small batch beers as well as unique craft beers from other breweries. Custom cocktails are made with house-infused spirits and are a crowd favorite.

Winner: Starbucks Coffee Starbucks offers everything for the coffee lover. The popular chain is in two locations in Texarkana and offers everything from Caffe Latte and Caffe Mocha Expresso beverages to Frappuccin­o blended beverages including Chocolate Cookie Crumble Frappucino and Mocha Coconut Frappucino. Starbucks also offers pastries and other snacks to go with its popular and addiccting drinks.

Runner Up: The Doughnut Cafe & Coffee House

Winner: Shorty’s Donut Shop and Diner Shorty’s Donut Shop and Diner satisfies the longing of those looking for burgers, other lunch items and their signature Southern Maid doughnuts. In business for more than 50 years, Shorty’s is legendary for its doughtnuts including glazed, chocolate topped, blueberry and buttermilk. Rounding out their pastry-inspired breakfast offerings are apple fritters, butter rolls, crisps, fried pies, long johns and calachis.
