PATSY NELL AKIN

Patsy Nell Akin age 70, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 16, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Akin was born January 26, 1949 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was the retired manager of the Dixie Mart in Genoa and a member of Highland Church of Christ. She loved the sport of barrel racing and enjoyed competing in the sport since age sixteen. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. The most important part of her life was spending time with family and creating memories with the grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of forty nine years, Bobby Akin of Genoa, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and David Lemley of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-inlaw; Chris and Lori Akin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Debbie Greene of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law: Margaret and Don Strouth of Hopewell, Virginia; six grandchildren, Taylor Lemley and his wife Liz, Ashlyn Akin, Nick Akin, Logan Lemley, Justice Akin, and Emma Akin, one great grandchild, Lawson Lemley, a host of friends and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P. M. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.
