Hooks, Redwater trade wins

REDWATER, Texas — Hooks defeated Redwater in the eighth grade boys game, 55-13.

Keyshawn Walls led the Hornets with 18 points and teammate Cason Choate added nine points.

Levi Johnson led the Dragons with six points.

Redwater won the first seventh grade game with Hooks, 44-10.

Tyrus Crowell led the Dragons with 16 points and teammate Marquez Jones poured in 10 points.

Hudson Davis led the Hornets with five points.

Hooks beat Redwater in the second seventh grade game, 13-11.

Cody Roberts led the Dragons with four points and Cooper Russett paced the Hornets with six points.

Lady Bulldogs sweep DeKalb

QUEEN CITY, Texas — Laterika Jackson scored a game-high 12 points to lead Queen City’s eighth grade over DeKalb, 20-16.

Zoey Ganaway had six points for the Lady Bears.

Lauren Carrell ripped the nets for nine points and Queen City won the seventh grade game, 33-14.

TMS girls go 1-3

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — Mally Lumpkin scored eight points for Texas Middle School’s eighth grade A girls team, but Mount Pleasant won, 38-22.

Kemaurih James contributed six points for TMS.

Lyric Curtis poured in 12 points to lead TMS’s eighth grade B team to a 24-14 victory.

Ke’Aria Antwine put up 11 points and teammate Carlyn Clack scored six for TMS’s seventh grade A squad in a 35-26 loss. T M S lost the seventh grade B contest, 36-7.

Maud falls to Rivercrest

MAUD, Texas — Maud fell to Rivercrest in its junior high girls game Monday night, 25-17.

Samantha Barnette led the Lady Cardinals with six points and teammate Bayla White added five points.

Red Lick, Atlanta swap victories

RED LICK, Texas — Zoe Vanderhoof’s game-high 19 points led Red Lick over Atlanta in the eighth grade game, 32-29.

Atlanta defeated Red Lick in the seventh grade game, 34-24.

Anna Beth Black led the Lady Mustangs with 12 points.

Hooks sweeps Redwater

HOOKS, Texas — Kinsley Birdwell’s 13 points led Hooks over Redwater in the first eighth grade girls game, 29-11.

Kaney Lathem led the Lady Dragons with six points.

Redwater edged Hooks in the second eighth grade game, 14-12.

Lake Crump led the Dragons with five points.

Jaidyn Henderson and Hannah Smith, each poured in four points apiece for the Lady Hornets.

Redwater beat Hooks in the seventh grade game, 11-9.

McKenzie Minter led the Dragons with six points and Maligiah Godfrey added five points for the Hornets.
