BILLY MCMILLAN

-

Billy Gene McMillan, age 85, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was born August 2, 1934 to James Roy and Bonnie McMillan in DeKalb, Texas.

He served his country as a veteran of the Vietnam War, fulfilling two tours. He spent much of his career in Data Processing and Computer Systems.

Billy was a fearless, strongwilled, stubborn, but caring man that was always there for his family. He never met a stranger, always joking and laughing. He loved the outdoors, western movies, watching Gunsmoke, sports, and wild women. We all will miss his country music and eating Klondike bars on the porch. And if you were looking for a fun game of cards or dominoes, you wouldn’t find a better man.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his brother, Bucky; his two sons, Jeff and Kevin; his granddaughter, Laura Lynn Wilson-Henley; and his eleven half brothers and sisters.

Billy is survived by his sisters, Betty Neves and Letha Peace, and brothers, Perry, Robby, and Joe; his former wife, Marie,; his children, Mark, Paula, Vicky, William, Keith, Kyle, Mary, and Steven; his 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his very special friend, Reba Nine.

We express our gratitude to all his caregivers and nurses with special thanks to Ms. Kay, Marie, Reba, and Paula for the time and effort put into the care of Billy.

Private graveside service will be at Northwood Cemetery. Public viewing is 8:00 am. to 5:00 PM. Monday through Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home on Texas Blvd.
