JUDY GILLENWATER

Judy Beth Gillenwater, age 82, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 12, 2020. Mrs. Gillenwater was born June 28, 1937 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was retired Office Manager at East Memorial Gardens and a member of Arabella Heights Baptist Church. In Judy’s earlier years she was Office Manager at Texarkana Country Club and formerly employed at Day and Zimmermann Inc. She enjoyed crocheting for family and friends. Judy looked forward each spring, sitting on her porch and watching her hummingbirds. But the most important part of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren creating precious memories that would last a lifetime. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Gillenwater, Sr., one brother, Daniel Coe and her parents, Fletcher and Etta Coe.

She is survived by two sons, Clyde Gillenwater, Jr. and his wife, Brandi of Texarkana, Arkansas; Joe Gillenwater and his wife, Sheila of Texarkana, Arkansas; two sisters, Nina Swilley of Texarkana, Arkansas; Lela Harrison and her husband, Larry of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, James “Bo” Coe and his wife, Deloris of Texarkana, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Shawna Chapman and her husband, Jamie, Joe Gillenwater, Jr., Kelsey McCoy and her husband, Casey, Erin Gillenwater, Chad Gillenwater and his wife, Kaylea, four great grandchildren, Trinity Chapman, Tristan Chapman, Haven Gillenwater, and Jaxon Gillenwater and a host of other relatives and special friends.

Due to the current health situation, a small graveside service will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday at Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gerald Wagstaff officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
