Bowie coronaviru­s case number at 104

Fifty patients have recovered

Bowie County, Texas’ confirmed coronaviru­s case count rose by one Tuesday, from 103 to 104, according to the emergency Joint Operations Center for Bowie County and Cass County, Texas.

Fifty Bowie County COVID-19 patients have recovered and no longer require treatment. Fortyone are isolated at home, and three are hospitaliz­ed locally. Ten Bowie County patients have died because of the disease.

Seven COVID-19 patients who live in other counties have been hospitaliz­ed in Bowie County.

Cass County reported 19 cases Tuesday, up from 18 Monday. Thirteen of those patients have recovered.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas, Titus County’s case count increased by six, from 15 to 21, according to the state health department. Morris County held at nine cases, and Red River County held at one.

The number of confirmed coronaviru­s cases in Miller County, Arkansas, did not change from Monday to Tuesday, but three other Southwest Arkansas counties saw their case counts rise.

Miller County’s count remained at 35, while Howard County’s increased from 13 to 14, Sevier County’s from 12 to 13 and Nevada County’s from one to two, according to the Arkansas Department of Health. Lafayette County held at eight, Pike County at three and Little River county at zero.

In Northwest Louisiana, Caddo Parish added 10 cases to reach 1,639, and Bossier Parish held at 300 cases, according to the state health department.

Statewide, Louisiana reported 29,996 cases with 2,042 deaths on Tuesday. Texas reported 32,332 cases with 884 deaths, and Arkansas reported 3,469 cases with 80 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 1,171,510 cases nationwide so far, with 68,279 deaths. Tuesday was the first day the national COVID-19 death toll surpassed 68,000.
