LIST OF BUSINESS OPENINGS
Running list of openings and schedule adjustments related to the pandemic:
Openings
Texas gyms
Gyms can open again on May 18, according to Gov. Greg Abbott, but must operate at 25% capacity and with other related restrictions. Showers and locker rooms will remain closed.
Arkansas casinos
Gaming casinos can reopen on May 18, with some restrictions, included a maximum 33% capacity and social distancing measures, Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced Thursday.
Texas Motor Speedway
Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas Motor Speedway released a statement Thursday applauding INDYCAR’s decision to kick off the 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season with the Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The race will take place June 6 and will be held without fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic but will air on NBCSN at 7 p.m. Protocols and procedures will be put in place to protect the health and safety of race participants, workers, staff, and others permitted entry to the event.
Texas State Parks
Will resume limited overnight camping beginning May 18. This gradual reopening of overnight reservations will be limited at all Texas State Parks to varying degrees depending on individual park occupancy in order to align with safe business practices currently followed in Texas. Some existing reservations will be honored, but to prevent overcrowding, manage continued social distancing and safeguard public health, no new reservations can be made for now. Officials will notify the public once new reservations can be booked. — The Texas Parks and Wildlife
