Mrs. Elsie Mae Easter was born July 10, 1922 in Emerson Arkansas to the late Lenard and Gussie George. She entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2020 at Bailey Creek Health and Rehab Center in Texarkana, AR.

Elsie was born the youngest of seven siblings. She was a Baptist and she gave her life to the Lord at an early age. Her gif to others was her cooking. She was a retired cook for various nursing homes. She also was a loving and giving mother and grandmothe­r.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mance Easter; son, Emanuel Washington, five brothers, one sister and several grandchild­ren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: One Daughter: Gussie B. Butler of Texarkana; Seven Grandchild­ren: Patricia Ann Williams, Texarkana, Theresa Butler, Texarkana, Elsie Washington, Texarkana, Bennie Butler, Afghanista­n, Ray (Vickie) Butler, Mesquite,

TX, David (Connie) Butler, Garland, AR, Sharon Broussard, Long Beach, CA.

She also leaves to carry on her legacy fifteen great grandchild­ren, twenty-seven greatgreat grandchild­ren; three great-great-great grandchild­ren; special niece, Thelma Walker of Texarkana and number other relatives and friends

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday at Chapelwood Memorial Garden with the Rev. F.S. Barnes officiatin­g. Burial in Chapelwood Memorial Garden under directions of Lyles Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation Thursday at funeral home from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
