HERSHELENE FRIDAY

Mrs. Hershelene Scoggins Friday, age 86, of Fouke, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home Monday, June 15, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Hershelene was born October 28, 1933, in Miller County, Arkansas, and had been a lifetime resident of Miller County. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Retired from Buhrman Pharr Hardware. she was a wonderful cook and loved gardening, farming, and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved unconditionally and was a great example for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lois Easley, her husbands, Melvin Scoggins, Mabry Beasley, and J. E. Friday, her sons, Ronnie Scoggins and Royce Scoggins, one brother, Paul Easley, one sister, Sue Hall, and a granddaughter, Brittany Thomas.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Johnston and Shyrell Warren of Fouke, Arkansas, two sons, Stanley Scoggins and Jeffrey Scoggins of Fouke, Arkansas, two sisters, Sarah Eaves of Fouke, Arkansas and Donna Jones of Texarkana, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Josh Mudford and Frank McFerrin officiating. Burial will be at Rocky Mound Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until 8 PM Tuesday.
