Pastor Charles Anthony Smith, 57, of Texarkana, Arkansas formerly of Iowa went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, June 8, 2020, surrounded by his wife. Pastor Smith was born July 11, 1963 to Gwendolyn Smith in

East St. Louis.

He was called into the ministry in 1991. Pastor Smith loved God, and He loved God’s people. He was a giving person, a caring person, willing to help anyone and also was a devoted husband. He loved talking about the Lord, and would stand in defense of the gospel. He received his Doctor of Theology in May of 2016. Pastor Charles Smith was the pastor of Fellowship Apostolic Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was the Chairman of the Full Truth /UCCC Pentecosta­l/ Apostolic Louisiana State Council. He was a veteran of the United States Army

Pastor Smith leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of twenty years, Ora Smith of Texarkana, AR.

One son, Samuel Smith of Iowa; three daughters, Darresa of Plano, TX, Sara Smith of Texarkana, AR and Hannah Smith of Iowa.

He also leaves five grandchild­ren and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins all of Florida and East St. Louis.

On Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M., a small gathering of Pastor Smith’s family and friends will have a celebratio­n of his life at the Lyles Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Texarkana, AR with Presiding Bishop Terry Winn officiatin­g. Interment will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Lyles Funeral Home, Inc.
