Most regional counts rise again

Confirmed cases of coronaviru­s infection in the Texarkana region continued to stack up from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Bowie County, Texas’ count increased from 205 to 214, with 100 recoveries and 13 deaths reported, according to the local emergency Joint Operations Center. Cass County, Texas’ tally rose from 34 to 35, with 31 recoveries and two deaths, according to the JOC.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas, Titus County added two cases to reach 635, while Morris County held at 31 cases and Red River County at 95, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

In Southwest Arkansas, Miller County reported an increase of four cases to reach 77, with 57 recoveries and two deaths, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Sevier County’s count rose from 478 to 498, Nevada County’s from 83 to 86, Howard County’s from 42 to 45 and Lafayette County’s from 11 to 12.

Hempstead County held at 40 cases,

Little River County at 34 and Pike County at seven.

Caddo Parish in Northwest Louisiana added 45 cases to reach 2,933, and Bossier Parish added 15 cases to reach 528, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 13,606 cumulative cases with 197 deaths, Louisiana reported 48,634 cases with 2,950 deaths, and Texas reported 96,335 cases with 2,062 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 2,132,321 total cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 116,862.
