Unchecked energy

-

TO THE EDITOR:

The good part of it all, if this is the end, then we have certainly had some good times in this American the Beautiful that God has blessed us with. Furthermore, concerning the present, in any conflict of sorts, the judge/mediator will want to know, how did it start?

Could we really say that our present dilemma (the death of George Floyd) was started by protesters? Suppose there was no black man involved and a white police officer placed his knee on a white suspect’s neck until he stopped breathing while a crowd of witnesses stood by. If there was no black man involved would there have been a death? If you answer “no” then this incident is a good definition of racism. A crime was committed. Crime carries a consequence. Crime comes by choice but consequence is inevitable.

In the industrial community energy can be used for good, If energy is mishandled it will mostly give bad results. Temperature and pressure don’t take instructions. Temperature and pressure only say “watch out!” The larger the process the greater engineering/monitoring is required. Everyone knows this. Even so sometimes we forget the pot on the stove and burn what is in the pot. Some folks even burn their own house down by not being alert. Well then people and government have to rightfully, justly wisely and diligently work together peacefully, patiently, prayerfully in love for God and country to survive.
