KENNETH HARMON

-

Kenneth R Harmon of Atlanta, Texas died peacefully in Atlanta hospital June 16 after 92 wonderful and full years. He was the youngest of 6 children, born in Le Flore, Oklahoma. He lived a simple life, learned by example from his dad, military service, and did the same. He was a Christ follower / servant / loyal / dedicated / giving / true gentleman to all. He would do what was needed to help others … packed your stuff, hauled you state-to-state, rallied the family for reunions or weddings near or across the country, and served in missionary work to build or nurture new church growth. He always said, “Leave it cleaner and better than you found it”. He wore many hats in life and loved family fiercely.

He is preceded in death by his dad, mom, sisters, brothers, and first wife, Ruth Ward.

He is survived by wife Mattie Sue, 8 children from his first wife Ruth (deceased), 22 gran kids, 26 great gran kids, 2 great great gran kids, extended family, and many friends adopted into the family.
