Ms. Nita Lee Edmond Threadgill, 74, of Texarkana, AR died Thursday, July 10, 2020, in Texarkana, TX.

M s . Threadgill was born July 14, 1945 in Texarkana, AR. She retired from Southwestern Electric Power in Texarkana, Texas where she worked in the Operations and Engineering Department for thirty six years, six months, seven days and four hours.

She was a faithful member of Miles Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a strong pillar of the church. Her wisdom, knowledge, and leadership will be truly missed and can never be replaced.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Edmond Sr. and mother Pauline Walker Edmond.

Survivors include: One son: Derrick S. Threadgill, Little Rock, AR; One Daughter: Shuntonia D. Threadgill Pree, Texarkana, AR; Two Brothers: Robert Edmond, Jr., Texarkana, AR, Dennis Looney, Sr. , Flint, MI; Two Grandchildren: Kionna Q. Threadgill, Little Rock, AR and Trey R. Pree, Texarkana, AR.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Memorial Gardens with Rev. Anthony Ware as the Eulogist and Officiant. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens under direction of Lyles Funeral Home, Inc.

Attendees at the funeral are required to wear masks and practice social distancing at the service.
