PATSY LIVINGSTON
Patsy Ruth Nicholas Livingston, age 80, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 26, 2020, in a local hospital.
Patsy was born August 5, 1939, in Benjin, Arkansas to Elbert and Esther Lee Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sidney Ross Nicholas and husband, John Livingston.
Patsy is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Nicholas, Sydney (Edgar) Westbrook, Vicki (Lynn) McDowell all of Texarkana, Mari Madison of Dallas, Tx and Leigh (Mike) Lloyd of El Dorado, TX. She is survived by granddaughters, Angie Savell of Texarkana, Jennifer (William) Edge of Shreveport, LA, Joyce (Brad) Ratliff of San Antonio, TX, Tara (Justin) Kirk of Lincoln, NE; grandsons Nicholas (Heather) McDowell, Ross (Mikayla) Westbrook of Texarkana, Nathan (Amanda) McDowell of Bella Vista, AR, David (Heather) Westbrook of Atlanta, GA and Elgin (Erin) Gregg of Lubbock, TX. Patsy was the proud grandmother of 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Vernon (Nancy) Watson of Conway, AR and many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Patsy graduated from Texarkana, Arkansas High School in 1957 and married Sidney Ross Nicholas on June 1, 1957. She was an amazing seamstress and homemaker. Patsy worked in the Texarkana, Arkansas School system and retired from St. Michael Hospital. In 1985, Patsy married John Livingston and together they shared their families and many wonderful trips around the country. Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved researching and sharing her ancestry. She loved her family reunions and taking pictures of the family. She was president of the genealogy society and women’s club of Atlanta, and she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Jay Steven Simpson officiating. Burial is under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
