JIMMY CHAMBLESS

Jimmy Chambless, age 72, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 1, 2020 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

Jimmy was born January 30, 1948, in Springhill, Louisiana, to Paul and Effie Chambless. He was retired from International Paper; and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was an avid LSU Fan, enjoyed playing golf, fishing and loved spending time on his tractor bushogging. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Darwin Chambless, Harold Chambless, Bruce Chambless and his sister, Brenda Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Chambless of Atlanta, Texas; son, Keith Chambless and wife Lori of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Jackson Chambless, and Liam Chambless both of Plano, Texas; brother-in-law, Franke Christian and wife Joy of Savannah, Georgia; three sisters-inlaw, Carla Godwin of Black Creek, Georgia, Elva Chambless of Ball, Louisiana, Joyce Chambless of Shreveport, Louisiana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family request that due to the Covid 19 Pandemic that everyone coming to the viewing, visitation, or service please wear a mask and social distance.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, Louisiana, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Viewing will be Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 10 am to 5 pm with a Visitation from 3 pm to 5 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
