Richard Wayne “Rick” Coleman 64, of Texarkana, TX passed peacefully on July 31, 2020 with his loving family surroundin­g him. Richard was a child of God, a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, brother, uncle, friend and advisor. Rick was born June 19, 1956 to William and Mary Coleman in San Francisco, California. Richard attended Liberty-Eylau High School through his 11th grade year and graduated from John Adams High School in Portland, Oregon. He was a former employee of Lifestyle Mobile Homes, Mayo Manufactur­ing, and ALF’s. Rick loved old cars, fishing, shooting pool, and barbecuing. On June 19. 1993, he married Linda Hunt and in 1997 they opened their restaurant Coleman’s.

His parents William and Mary Coleman, his brother Gary Coleman, and his sister Elnita Brooks preceded him in death.

He leaves to continue his legacy his wife, Linda Hunt Coleman of Texarkana, Texas; two sons, Charles Ray Johnson, JR of Fairfield CA, and Carlos Washington of Houston, TX; his daughters, Charneal (Diallo) Lewis of Portland, OR, Sherita Coleman of Portland, OR, Shelecia Johnson, Jasmine Coleman, Denaya Johnson, Sherell (Andonique) Burks of Texarkana, TX; four sisters, Joyce (Leroy, SR) Dodd, Janice Coleman, Terri (Derrick) Gooden of Texarkana, TX and Sherrie (Billy) Green of Texarkana, AR; one brother Michael Maxwell of Garland, TX.

He also leaves to cherish his memories: sixteen grandchild­ren and two great-grandchild­ren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside services are Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Minister Longworth Hampton, Eulogist, under the direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary.

Wake Friday, Aug. 7th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Jones Stuart Mortuary.
