Albert Carl Wilhelm, age 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday August 29, 2020.

M r . Wilhelm was born January 1, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. He is retired from Wadley Regional Medical Center and a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher. Prior to his retirement from Wadley, Al was a Medical Technologi­st and Director of Medical Management at Rush Presbyteri­an St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois transferri­ng to Northweste­rn Hospital as Director of Medical Management before his final move to Wadley. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. Al was a loving and caring man, who was always willing to “lend an ear” to a friend in need, an individual, or just in conversati­on. He loved woodworkin­g and working in his yard. Each summer he would look forward to traveling the country in his RV with his wife, Marge, and their furry companions to see the different states. He was preceded in death by his father in-law, Ollie Russell; one brother and sister in-law, Roy Wilhelm and Karen Wilhelm and one niece, Ann Marie Coen.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Marge Wilhelm, of Texarkana, Arkansas; his mother in-law, Ann Russell of Texarkana, Texas; one sister and brother in-law, Helen and Jim Sladek of Wheaton, Illinois; sister in-law, Pat Wilhelm of Ventura, California; brother in-law, John Kaspars of Elmhurst, Illinois; three nieces, Kristie Warner and her husband Harry, Kim Zadona and her husband Angelo and Kandy Geides and her Husband Ralph; his cousins, Patricia Parrillo, Jeannette Vales, Margaret Kaspars and Diane Weiner; three nephews, Kurt Sladek, Gary Sladek, and Eric Sladek; his furry companions, Mayda , his German shepherd and Ginger, his Chihuahua and a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilhelm will be 2pm Friday, September 4, 2020 at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with Rev. Dianne Brown officiatin­g.
