Little change in regional coronaviru­s case counts

The number of confirmed coronaviru­s cases in Miller County, Arkansas, rose by four Thursday to Friday, reaching a total of 642.

Miller County has reported 587 recoveries, nine deaths and 46 active cases, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Nevada County’s case count increased from 162 to 165, Pike County’s from 179 to 182, Little River County’s from 296 to 299, Howard County’s from 429 to 431 and Sevier County’s from 1,163 to 1,164. Hempstead County’s count held at 335 cases, and Lafayette County’s was adjusted downward from 75 to 74.

Bowie County, Texas’ case count increased by one Thursday to Friday, reaching a total of 1,005. The local emergency Joint Operations Center reported 508 recoveries in Bowie County, 71 deaths and 426 active cases being traced.

Cass County, Texas, reported 261 cases with 215 recoveries, 12 deaths and 34 active cases, according to the JOC.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas, Red River’s tally rose from 148 to 151, Morris County’s from 158 to 159 and Titus County’s from 1,371 to 1,381, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Caddo Parish in

Northwest Louisiana added 35 cases to reach 7,581, and Bossier Parish added 27 to reach 2,776, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 64,175 cumulative cases and 873 deaths, Louisiana reported 151,473 cases and 4,872 deaths, and Texas reported 630,829 cases and 13,231 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 6,132,074 total cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 186,173.
