Police looking for woman accused of stealing TVs in the self-checkout line

-

TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texarkana Texas Police Department has felony theft warrants for Amanda Pollock.

Pollock allegedly went to the New Boston Road Walmart to steal televisions and tried to change her appearance both days so no one would recognize her.

On Sept.2, Pollock allegedly went through the self check-out line with two 43-inch televisions and something from the hardware section. However, she only scanned and paid for two sodas. The store didn’t figure out what she’d done until she was already gone.

She allegedly returned to the store the next day and put two more televisions in her shopping cart. However, police believe something scared her and she left the store quickly. She was seen getting into a dark Chevrolet Impala in the parking lot both days – where an unidentified man helped her load the first two televisions into the car the first day. Everything was captured on video.

Detective Warren Smith was able to track down the former owner of the car, and the trail quickly led him straight to Pollock. With a little more investigative work, he was able to identify her as the suspect in the theft and ultimately get a warrant for her arrest. Detectives also learned Pollock has been convicted of theft twice before so the charge was upgraded to a felony. She also has a felony parole violation warrant in Arkansas. Pollock’s last known address is in Hope, Arkansas. Anyone who knows Pollock’s location, should call TTPD at 903-798-3116 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
