Texarkana College will hold board meeting Monday morning

The Texarkana College Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting Monday morning where they will have a retreat for 2020-2022 Strategic Planning, as well as consider the approval of an amended capital budget.

The meeting will convene at 9:00 AM in the Great Room, at the Truman Arnold Student Center, 2500 North Robison Road, Texarkana, TX 75599.

After the call to order and pledge of allegiance, the Board will hold a retreat for 2020-2022 Strategic Planning.

They will then convene in closed session to discuss the following issues:

■ Private Consultati­on with the Board’s attorney.

■ Discussing or deliberati­ng purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property.

■ Discussing or deliberati­ng negotiated contract for prospectiv­e gift or donation to the college.

■ Discussing or deliberati­ng appointmen­t, employment, evaluation, reassignme­nt, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee.

■ Discussing or deliberati­ng the deployment or specific occasions for implementa­tion of security personnel or devices.

■ Investigat­ion; exclusion of witness from a hearing during examinatio­n of another witness.

■ Discussing economic developmen­t negotiatio­ns or offer of financial or other incentive to business prospects.

■ Deliberati­on regarding test item or informatio­n related to a test item pertaining to license or certificat­ion test administer­ed by the college.

They will then reconvene to open session to consider the approval of the consent agenda, amended capital budget for 2020-2021 and Request for Proposal for capital projects.

After reports from President Jason Smith, Vice President of Finance Kim Jones, Vice President of Instructio­n Donna McDaniel and Dean of Students Robert Jones, a possible closed session will be considered before adjournmen­t.
