Lady Hawk junior high sweeps L-E

TEXARKANA, Texas — Julianne Naples fired in 22 service points to lead Pleasant Grove’s eighth grade A squad to a 25-9, 25-20 victory over Liberty-Eylau in a volleyball match on Monday.

Makayla Pulliam had five service points for the Lady Leopards.

Randi Jo Curtis served in six points, and the Lady Hawks won the eighth grade B match, 25-14, 19-18.

Maggie Prejean paced PG with 11 service points, and the Hawks defeated L-E in the seventh grade A match, 25-16, 25-20.

Lady Backs roll with a pair of wins

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Jaliyah Lewis served in 12 points, including seven aces, to lead North Heights to a 25-13, 25-12 win against Arkadelphia in an eighth grade volleyball match.

Taylor Pascarella had 10 points, of which four were aces, for the Lady Backs.

North Heights won the seventh grade contest, 25-11, 25-10, as Jewel Smart slapped in 11 points, including three aces. Teammate Montana Jones had 10 service points.

Lady Dragons win 3 of 4

QUEEN CITY, Texas — Loralee Morgan slapped in 14 points to lead Redwater in a 20-25, 25-20, 25-15 victory over Queen City in the eighth grade A volleyball match.

Ruby McCasland paced the Lady Bulldogs with 11 service points.

Alyssa Delgado had eight service points for Queen City as it split with the Lady Dragons in the eighth B match, 15-25 (Redwater), 18-15 (Queen City).

Makayla Jackson had five service points, but the Bulldogs lost the seventh grade A match, 25-6, 25-22. Sallie McCrerry served in nine points, but Queen City fell in the seventh grade B match, 25-15, 15-12.

Lady Lions’ A teams each post win

RED LICK, Texas — Brook Higginbotham had 12 service points as New Boston defeated Red Lick, 17-25, 25-14, 25-23, in an eighth grade A volleyball match.

Anna Beth Black led the Lady Mustangs with 10 service points, while teammate Ali Cheatham had nine.

Summer Graham’s 13 service points helped the Lady Lions win the seventh A match, 25-8, 25-14. Red Lick’s Emma Sharp had three service points.

Lady Bears run hot with 4 wins

HOOKS, Texas — Azariah Luzincourt served in 11 points to lead DeKalb’s eighth grade A squad to a 25-19, 25-16 win over Hooks.

Diana Hernandez had seven service points for the Lady Hornets.

DeKalb won the eighth grade B match, 25-22, 17-10. Kaitlyn Sellers had five service points for Hooks.

Presley Sparks slapped in eight points to lead the Lady Bears to a 25-12, 25-15 victory in the seventh grade A match. Madison Lewis had five points on serve for Hooks.

Martiliz Martinez had a matchhigh 19 service points, and DeKalb won the seventh B match, 25-8, 25-11. McKenzie Bashan had a pair of service points for the Hornets.
