Miller adds 31 coronaviru­s cases, Bowie 20 since Thursday’s tally

From Thursday to Monday, Miller County, Arkansas, recorded 31 new confirmed coronaviru­s cases and Bowie County, Texas, added 20 to its case count.

Miller County’s cumulative total of cases reached 944, with 110 active cases, 823 recoveries and 11 deaths, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Elsewhere in Southwest Arkansas, Lafayette County’s tally rose from 124 to 128, Nevada County’s from 227 to 239, Pike County’s from 238 to 244, Little River County’s from 356 to 374, Hempstead County’s from 406 to 434, Howard County’s from 481 to 486 and Sevier County’s from 1,199 to 1,202, according to ADH.

Bowie County reached 1,445 cases, with 1,067 recoveries and 74 deaths, according to the local emergency Joint Operations Center.

The county has an estimated 376 active cases, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

In Northeast Texas, Red River County’s case count increased from 169 to 173, Morris County’s from 194 to 196, Cass County’s from 406 to 418 and Titus County’s from 1,498 to 1,504, according to TDSHS.

In Northwest Louisiana, Caddo Parish’s count rose from 9,107 to 9,233 and Bossier Parish’s from 3,524 to 3,602, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 88,870 cumulative cases so far, with 1,586 deaths. Louisiana reported 172,059 cases and 5,462 deaths, and Texas reported 795,126 cases and 16,558 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 7,740,934 total cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 214,108.
