COACH JOSH GIBSON’S COMMENTS:

“A lot of kids are playing as hard as they can, but there are others who don’t do that. We had great defensive pressure. Kids played well. (Reece) Elrod had a huge play on defense, and he has played well in the last two games. We will see some growth and success from him in the future. Those are the things that are going to make our team better.

“Landon (Jackson) had an exciting play. He gets a strip sack, picks up the fumble, side steps, gets a stiff arm and stays in bounds. It was an unbelievable play by Landon. Everyone was celebrating and rightfully so; that was a big-time season play. He will be able to tell his grandkids about that play someday.

“We are going to continue to work hard, do some soul searching and a little honesty about where we’re at. Then we will see what we can do to get better, and we’ll figure that out.”
