COACH GERRY STANFORD’S COMMENTS: “We’ve seen a lot of improvement, and we’ve talked with our kids that we want to peak at the right time. We’re hoping that peak is more around the (Game) 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 area. There’s still a lot of improvement we can accomplish.

“The Forney score shouldn’t have been 10; it should have been three. There’s still thing we have to do a better job with. Our run game was not as crisp tonight, and defensively there’s areas we can shore up. Offensively, in short-yardage situations we’ve got to continue to improve. We tell the kids all the time, ‘you’ve got to be your own worst critic; we, as coaches, will be your biggest fans.’”
