LAST WEEK:

The Razorbacks came from behind to knock off Hot Springs Lakeside, 21-14, in the Rams’ homecoming game.

THIS WEEK: Arkansas High (4-0, 2-0) has a bye week.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: RB Torie Blair scored the go-ahead TD with a 1-yard score with 4:57 remaining. Blair rushed 25 times for 105 yards, and QB Braylon Bishop had 15 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Jamarious Johnson had two catches for 8 yards, as the Hogs struggled in the passing game.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: LB Graydon Martin had

an interception and a game-clinching fumble recovery late to allow the Razorbacks to run out the clock. CB Naijah Taylor also had an interception to go along with his team-leading nine tackles. Tylee Green added eight stops, and LB Eric Flowers and Koby Hall added seven stops apiece. Christian Torres had six tackles.

COACH BARRY NORTON’S COMMENTS: “We knew going in that Lakeside would be a defensive ballgame; they do a good job on defense. It was a very competitive game, and there were some great situations we had to work through during the game. We’re proud of how our kids handled it.

“We had some mistakes; we had a special teams mistake that we typically don’t have. A mishandled snap on a punt gave them great field position and a chance late, but our defense got it stopped. We were able to run the clock out for the win.

“It was a very good performance from our football team, from a competitive standpoint. We still have a lot of work to do, and we’ll continue working on getting better.”
