CHRISTOPHER SHUGART

Christopher “Austin” Shugart of Texarkana, TX. departed this life on October 14, 2020.

Austin was born in Texarkana, TX. on February 21, 1995 to Amber Smithson and Christopher Shugart. Austin was a very special young man who brought joy to everyone who met him. Austin enjoyed music, beating the drums and anything involving noise. He would grunt and snort just to hear himself. There was no way he was going to let the house or his momma be quiet. He loved to pet your arm and every once in a while he would throw in a pinch just to get a reaction out of you.

Austin is preceded in death by one nephew, Braxton Walker.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Chris Shugart and Amber Smithson of Texarkana, TX; two sisters, Tyler Musselwhite of Texarkana TX. and Kayla Pevytoe of Silverton, TX; his paternal grandmother, Anita Norris of Elgin, TX; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Salli Brown of Texarkana, AR; five nieces, Brittan Sluder of Texarkana, TX. and Jayden, Paisley, Makenna and Gracelyn Pevytoe of Silverton, TX; and a great host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Our beloved Austin has entered Heaven’s gates free and healed from head to toe. We believe he was greeted by the Father and those loved ones who went before him and is running the streets of gold enjoying his heavenly reward for being such an angel here on earth. Forever 25.

Graveside service will be 3:30pm Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm Monday, October 19, 2020 at the funeral home.
