No more Trump?

TO THE EDITOR:

In her letter last week, Ms. Browning wonders why anyone could vote for Trump. There is really no other viable choice. The Democrats’ offer of Joe and Kamala is an offer of socialism. Besides Ms Browning has been listening to too much “fake news.” I cannot address all that she said but an example of a false statement is the claim that Trump called those who served and died for our country “suckers and losers.” That was a report from an “anonymous source” and was never confirmed by even one person who was there. Also, his handling of the virus saved thousands of lives. Ten days after the first case was reported in the US on January 21, he restricted flights from China, the source of the virus. On Jan 29, the U.S. Coronavirus Task Force was formed. Dr Fauci, who was appointed to the Task Force, said later that the ban on flights from China saved lives.

A vote for Trump is a vote for America: our way of life which is the envy of the world, LIFE, freedom, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the strongest and the most charitable country in the world. In this country we have the liberty to pursue our dreams, worship God, vote for the candidate of our choice, etc., etc.

Trump is far from perfect. This could be said of almost all of us. But he has done more good for this country than any other president in generations. I don’t like a lot of what Trump says and his pompous attitude. But you can’t argue with success. Before the virus struck we had the greatest economy in the world and the best ever in America. It is evident that he loves America and puts America First. Before the virus, unemployment was at an all-time low (including record lows for Blacks, Hispanics, and women), tax cuts for the middle-class and deregulations on businesses helped stimulate our economy, ISIS was defeated, our military has been rebuilt, manufacturing has been brought back to the US, we became energy independent, our borders have been secured, medical treatment for our vets has been vastly improved, and much, much more. Trump kept his word: he put America First!
