COACH GERRY STANFORD’S COMMENTS: “During the bye week, we focused on getting healthy, get our feet back underneath us, let’s not lose the improvements we’ve made and continue to get better going into the Mount Pleasant game.

“Offensively, their offensive line and running backs make them go; they’ve got a lot of depth at running back and a big, physical offensive line. How our front seven match up against their front and us stopping the run is a big part of how this games will go. They run a lot of Wing-T style offense, and we haven’t seen a lot of that lately.

“Offensively for us, their D-line is their strength. They’ve got a big, strong defensive line, anchored by a Division I defensive tackle. How our O-line handles their D-line will play a big part. It should be a good ballgame, especially as a district opener.”
