COACH’S COMMENTS: Liberty-Eylau’s Dewaski Davis—” The kids have worked extremely hard this week. We’re all excited for the opportunity to compete again. We just feel like if we can take care of the ball and stay within ourselves, we should be alright for this game.

“We’re trying to work on some things to soften up the defense some a bit. I know they’re built to stop the run more than anything. We feel like we can throw the ball pretty well, so we may be able to exploit some things they can or can’t do on both sides of the football. Our pass defense is pretty good and they throw the ball a lot. We feel like if we can control them on both sides of the ball some, we have a good chance at the game.

“We’re just going to keep grinding and working hard. One game at a time.”
