COACH GERRY STANFORD’S COMMENTS: “We’re excited about the playoffs; any time you can make the 5A playoffs in Texas that’s a big deal. This is something that’s been on our mind for a long time with this group. These seniors were the freshmen when we got here four years ago, and they’ve been through our program every year.

“This is only the fifth undefeated season in school history, in 110 years of football. We’re real excited to carry on the future of Texas High and the history of what it means. These kids have had this goal for a long time, and they put a lot of time and effort into it.”
