L-E girls defeat Longview

LONGVIEW, Texas — Liberty-Eylau throttled Longview HEAT in a non-district basketball contest Friday night in Longview, 73-39.

Bryana Block led the Lady Leopards with 15 points and Kayla Crabtree added 12 points. J’Niya Sanders finished with 10 points for L-E.

Queen City 53, Hooks 23

QUEEN CITY, Texas — Queen City beat Hooks at Bulldog Gym.

Hannah Fitts led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points and Mallori Stringer added eight points.

Chloe Phillipi and Serenity Oden contribute­d six points apiece for Queen City.

Jamecia Cook, Alex Larry, and Lauren Carrell had five points each, while Nyla Harrison finished with two points.

McLeod 42, Detroit 16

McLEOD, Texas — McLeod beat Detroit in a girls varsity game.

Ella Lambeth led the Lady Longhorns with nine points and teammate Gracie Lance finished with eight points.

Kaitlyn Cross ended the night with seven points. Madeleine Marquez led Detroit with five points. McLeod won the junior varsity game with Detroit, 35-21.

Stormy Johnson scored 16 points for the Longhorns.

New Boston 60, Atlanta 57

NEW BOSTON, Texas —New Boston remained undefeated in district with the win over the Lady Rabbs.

New Boston’s Silas Murdock finished with 15 points and Sabriyah Young added 11. Tamiya Smith topped the Lions with 14 points.

New Boston plays host to Paul Pewitt on Tuesday.

McLeod 59, Detroit 25

McLEOD, Texas — McLeod defeated Detroit in their varsity boys game at Longhorn Gym.

McLeod led 37-3 at halftime.

Keldyn Schubert led the Longhorns with 14 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, and three steals, while teammate Casey Smith added 11 points with five rebounds.
