Mallery Nicole “Nikki” Griffin was born on June 24, 1975 in Texarkana, TX to Wilbur A. “Wag” Griffin and Janice Russ Griffin Johnson. Mallery, affectiona­tely known as “Nikki” received her “Wings” to enter her Eternal Home on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, TX.

Mallery started her “Christian Walk” and life of service to Christ at an early age by becoming a member of the Polly Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on March 10, 1985 under the pastorate of the late Rev. R.A. McCurry. She continued her walk with Christ after graduating from Texas High school in 1993 and united with the Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church while attending Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoche­s, TX under the leadership of Pastor S. Keith Warner.

Upon graduating from SFA on December 19, 1998, Mallery was hired in January 1999 as a Staff Accountant and currently served as Senior Financial Analyst for Brookshire Brothers Employee Owned Corporate Office in Lufkin, TX.

Visitation will be held 5:007:00 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Haynes Mortuary. Graveside Service honoring the life and legacy of Mallery Nicole Griffin will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Reginald G. Reid, Sr., officiatin­g.

Interment to follow in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Due To Covid-19, all attendees are requested to wear a mask! A repast will not be held due to COVID protocols.
