TEXARKANA, Ark. — Freestyle motocross, the Globe of Death and more daring stunts make Moto Xtreme Circus the place to be for thrills at the Four States Fairgrounds on Tuesday.

The fun starts at 7 p.m. with doors open an hour earlier at the Entertainment Center.

Leigh Ketchum handles ticket sales for this stunt crew and says the Dominguez family who are most of the show have performed stunt shows and thrill shows most of their lives.

“They do the motorcycles in the big, steel globe, and of course FMX, which is going up a ramp and doing flips and stuff on motorcycles,” Ketchum said. “They’ve done that for years.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, they persevered and retooled their show to do it drive-in style. “Now they’re coming back. They’re going to do some drive-in shows, but they are opening up in Texarkana for the first time with a little bit bigger show,” Ketchum said.

Expect to see traditional circus acts, such as aerialists, but also motorsports and motorcycles.

“It’s a really fun stunt show, and a lot of fun for the kids. They’ve got things like Transformers, the car that transforms into a robot. They’ve got one of those there, just for fun. It’s great family entertainment,”

Ketchum said, noting all local guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing will be in place for this event.

“Anyone that comes in close contact with the public will wear a mask,” he said.

Also part of the show, according to the Moto Xtreme Circus page on Facebook, are The X Metal Riders. BMX Freestyle, Sky Masters, Pendulum Wheel and Nuclear Stunt Girls. It’s described there as a

“high-adrenaline show combining action sports with the most spectacular circus thrill acts.”

Ketchum describes it as an absolutely enjoyable time, noting that even the drive-in version was wonderful and got families out to enjoy the event.

“So many kids and so many parents that the kids have been locked up for so long. The only thing they’ve had is to watch their iPads and Netflix, and people are already pretty sick of that. It was really great. People were able to get out,” Ketchum said. Expect a thrilling time of daring daredevil wizardry on Tuesday with Moto Xtreme Circus.
