St. Michael issues directions for today’s clinic

TEXARKANA, Texas — CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System asks those with appointments for its large-scale vaccination clinic today to help the event run smoothly by adhering to the following directions.

Appointments are required, and no walkins will receive vaccinations. Currently, no additional appointments are available.

Those with appointments should arrive on the St. Michael campus no more than 15 minutes prior to appointment time. The clinic will have ample supply of vaccine for all individuals who have scheduled appointments.

Persons arriving before scheduled appointment times contribute to traffic back-ups and will be rerouted to facilitate more efficient vaccine schedule.

Individuals should remain in their vehicles until they are directed to park in the designated lot in front of the vaccine clinic.

Vaccine recipients should not exit their vehicles prior to parking in the clinic lot and walk to the clinic entrance. Walkers will be instructed to return to their vehicles.

Participants are asked to enter the hospital campus at the intersection of Cowhorn Creek and St. Michael Loop or from St. Michael Drive. Follow signage and directions from traffic volunteers.

Vaccine recipients will exit the campus at the intersection of Galleria Oaks and Herman Joseph Drive after completing the vaccination process.

St. Michael will administer approximately 1,700 second doses of the Moderna vaccine, and a designated team will administer about 2,000 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
