GERALD PATTERSON

-

Ronald “Gerald” Patterson Jr., 43, of Dallas, TX, went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 5, 2021, following quintuple bypass surgery. He was born Aug 29, 1977, in Linden, TX, to Sue Hamilton and Ronald

Patterson, Sr. He was a loving husband, papa, son, grandson, brother, nephew and son-in-law.

On November 2nd, 2013, Gerald married his Jr. High and High School Sweetheart, Corrine Marie Book. Together they have their miracle daughter, Landry “Reece” Patterson and angel babies, Christian Thomas and Ryleigh Rayne.

Gerald and his family are active members of Fellowship Dallas Church. He had a wide variety of passions that were shared by Corrine and Reece. He was one of those people who felt just as comfortable dressing up and going with the family to the Opera or wearing a T-shirt and eating hot dogs at a Rangers game. They enjoyed going to concerts, museums, outdoor art festivals and anything that made their daughter happy. He had such an old soul and was known for his kind, giving and compassionate spirit. He had an extraordinary ability to make friends feel comfortable and cared for.

He is survived by Corrine and Reece; his mother and father; four sisters, Summer Foster, Haley Patterson, Ashley Patterson and Tori Brassfield; one brother, Josh Donald; grandmother Delta Hamilton; bonus mom Vickie Patterson; mother-in-law Gayla (Dorsey) Fowler, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his angel babies, Gerald was preceded in death by his best friend “Pops” Waylon Patterson, Grandma Irma Patterson, Papa Edward Hamilton, Great Grandpa Red Patterson, Great Grandma Opal Patterson, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Floyd, Uncles Rocky Patterson, Steve Patterson, Michael Tye Patterson and father-in-law Thomas “Randy” Fowler.

Gerald’s kind heart and giving spirit will carry on, as he requested to have his body donated to science for medical research. A Celebration of Life will be held in Dallas on March 26 at 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gerald’s name to Fellowship Dallas Care Fund, 9330 N. Central Expy, Dallas, TX 75231.
