STEVEN LYNN HAYES

Steven Lynn Hayes age 29, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his residence.

Steven was born June 19, 1992, in Tyler, Texas, to Jimmy and Tara Hayes. He was the Associate Pastor of Cornerstone Assembly of God, a member of the Atlanta Lion’s Club and an Eagle Scout. Steven graduated from Queen City High School and studied at Texarkana College. He was owner of Hayes AVL, a full time Evangelist with the Worldwide Crusaders Ministries, Master Studio Engineer, First Fitness Nutrition Bronze Director, Team National International, and Associate Pastor of Benton Arkansas Foursquare Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Upchurch; and his second “Dad” David Talley.

He is survived by his mother, Tara Hayes and David Sowell of Tyler, Texas; father, Jimmy Hayes of Marshall, Texas; grandfather, Harold Upchurch of Atlanta, Texas; his sister, Melisa Stephens and husband Joshua and their daughter, Nevaeh of Price, Texas; grandmother, JoAnn Stevenson of Bossier City, Louisiana; aunt, Renne Hayes of Bossier City, Louisiana; uncle, Willie Upchurch and wife Vennia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Cousins, William Unchurch and fiancé Kristen Higgins Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Athena Russell and her children Ransom and Journey of Gutherie, Oklahoma, Whitney Blevins and husband Quad and their children Shalea and Quad, Jr of Moore, Oklahoma; great-aunt, Myrtal Crews of Daingerfield, Texas; second “Mom” Penney Talley Pias of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas; sister, Amber Byrd and husband Scott and their children, Anniston and Karsyn of Russellville, Arkansas; brother, Jonathan Talley and wife Ashley and their children, Tatum, Rylan, Kinsley, and Sadie all of Ashdown, Arkansas; mentor, Mac Welbanks of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Rev. Richard Wade officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, December 31, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
