DOROTHY BICE

-

Dorothy Ann “Dot” Dieffenbacher Bice was born November 21, 1931 to H.A. & Elsie Dieffenbacher. She was a lifelong resident of Texarkana.

Dorothy passed away peacefully in Springdale AR surrounded by loved ones on January 1, 2022.

Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper, and she spent several years alongside her sister creating floral arrangements and gifts for her sister’s shop. She was very creative and also enjoyed painting. She graduated from North Heights High School (Class of ‘49) where she was a member of the basketball team and several other clubs.

Early in Dorothy’s life she gave her heart to Jesus and continued to develop an intimate relationship with Him throughout her life. That relationship was evident in the way she loved others. She always saw the good in everyone and had the most giving heart. Although she will be missed by so many, we rejoice knowing that she is whole again, walking with her beloved Jesus and in the arms of her momma and daddy again.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Stanley Dieffenbacher, Hazel Carpenter and Charles Dieffenbacher, their spouses, husband, M.B. Bice, one great grandson, Tyler, and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Michelle Rodgers Cole and husband Ronnye, Elaine Bice Jones, 4 granddaughters, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, & several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday Jan 7th at 6:00-7:30pm at Texarkana AR Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00am at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers: Cole Bohannan, Caden Bohannan, Dylan Reynolds, Riley Reynolds, Cohen Kinnard, Hudson Kinnard, Kiptin Kinnard, and Cash Ellison.
