Funeral service for Mr. Bobby Lee Giddens, 77 years old, of DeKalb, TX, who went to be with his Lord, January 10, 2022 in DeKalb, TX, will be January 22, 2022, at 10:00 am at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Gray, eulogist. Interment will be in English Cemetery, Clarksvill­e, TX.

Bobby Lee Giddens was the fifth child born to the late Ocie and Jerline Giddens on January 8, 1945 in Red River County.

Bobby attended Marvin Pynes School. He was a member of the Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church. Bobby’s work career consists of working at Lone Star Ammunition Plant for nine years and retiring from Texana Tank Car Company after 40 years.

On January 10, 2022, Bobby receive his reward of eternal rest at Parkland Hospital Burn Unit in Dallas, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his son: Cedric Giddens; father: Ocie Giddens; sisters: Euna F. Coleman and Leaster Giddens; brothers: David S. Giddens, Clemmie Giddens and Ocie Giddens

He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy, his loving mother, Jerline Giddens His devoted wife of (52) years, Brenda Giddens. Sons: David Giddens, Bobby J. Giddens, and Theopolis Carson, all of DeKalb, TX. Daughters: Barbara Mitchell, Garland, TX; Kemala Giddens (Kenneth), Balch Springs, TX, Natasha Giddens, Dallas,TX and Aisha Giddens, Garland, TX. Brothers: Billy Ray Giddens, DeKalb, TX, Curtis Giddens, Idabel, OK. Sister: Euna Vee Wright, Lubbock, TX. Sisters-in law: Lillie Brent, Clarksvill­e, TX and Carol Giddens, Coolidge, AZ. 20 grandchild­ren and 16 great-grandchild­ren. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
