Tyrance Wayne Jacobs passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Waterton Plaza in Texarkana, Texas. He was born February 5, 1966 to John and Maggie Jacobs.

At a young age, Tyrance and his sister Tara were baptized at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church where he remained an active member. He assisted with the Pathfinder­s Youth Group as well as with Boy Scouts of America Troop 226 at Union Hill Baptist Church.

Tyrance graduated from Liberty Eylau Independen­t School District in 1984. He went on to attend Oregon State University where he played football. He later joined the United States Marines and was an Honor Guard in Washington D.C. After serving his country, he attended DPS Academy (Department of Public Safety) in Austin, Texas where he became a Texas State Trooper and earned various detail assignment­s including Spaceship Shuttle Columbia 2003 as well as a cameo appearance on Walker Texas Ranger folding the flag.

Tyrance later became owner operator of TRJ Properties and Constructi­on where he built homes for the Housing Developmen­t. Upon his illness, he was attending Texarkana College to earn a degree in Criminal Justice.

He leaves to cherish lasting memories: wife, Regina Michelle Jacobs of Wake Village, Texas; son, Jordan Jacobs of Houston, Texas; daughter, Taylor Jacobs of Texarkana, Texas; parents, John and Maggie Jacobs of Wake Village, Texas; sister, Tara Jackson (Cedric) of Arlington, Texas; sister-in-law, Melissa Thomas (Christophe­r) of Jefferson, Texas; brothersin-law, Lonnie High and George High of Jefferson, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Jacobs will be 12 Noon Friday, January 21, 2022, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Wake Village, Texas.
