Jimenos vs. Everetts in new ‘Family Chantel’
‘Family’ feuds: “90 Day Fiancé” favorites Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno return this summer to conquer their marital issues and reconcile with their families in Season 4 of “The Family Chantel,” premiering Monday, June 6, on TLC.
Five years ago, during “90 Day Fiancé’s” fourth season, Chantel and Pedro made their reality television debuts.the original series’ premise follows the relationships between American women and their international partners as they navigate cultural barriers, family conflicts and the intricacies of immigration when trying to settle as a married couple in the United States.
While many couples made an impression on viewers, Chantel and Pedro were so beloved that they became one of a handful of couples to earn their own spinoff series documenting their lives and those of their immediate family members.
Season 3 of “The Family Chantel” left the two families in heated conflicts. On the Jimeno side, Pedro grieves his father’s dismissal and seeks reconciliation with his mother, Lidia, and sister Nicole in the Dominican Republic.this proves especially difficult as Nicole has declared a (semi) private war on Chantel and Karen, Chantel’s mother.after a nasty breakup with her boyfriend, alejandro, Nicole enters the Miss Dominican Republic pageant in an attempt to jump-start her new life; that is, until Alejandro is thrown back into the mix.
Meanwhile, on the Everett side of the family, Chantel’s sister, Winter, undergoes transformative weight-loss surgery after reading inspirational stories on social media.
With all the family drama adding stress to their life together, Chantel and Pedro are quickly reaching their boiling point. Needless to say, the strain of their feuding families may prove to be an insurmountable obstacle in the pair’s stillgrowing marriage.
Find out if “The Family Chantel” can come together in times of crisis, or whether their differences and pride will drive them apart. Season 4 premieres Monday, June 6, on TLC.
