”Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever” (2023)
The Heffley’s are off on vacation in the new animated family film “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever,” premiering on Disney+ Friday, Dec. 8 . This year, the winter holidays are turning out to be extra stressful for Greg Heffley (Wesley Kimmel, “The Book of Boba Fett”).after accidentally damaging someone else’s property while playing in the snow with his best friend Rowley (Spencer Howell, “Ithaca,” 2015), Greg is worried that he might not get the gift he desperately wants for Christmas as a punishment.to make matters worse, Greg winds up trapped indoors with his entire family — including his terrifying older brother Rodrick (Hunter Dillon, “Holly Hobbie”) and annoying baby brother Manny (Gracen Newton, “Puppy Dog Pals”) — when a massive snowstorm hits the town.as Greg does the unthinkable — actually spending quality time with his family — he’ll have to try extra hard to stay on his best behavior for Christmas. Based on the book of the same name by Jeff Kinney, “Cabin Fever” is written by Kinney, with a screenplay by Kathleen Shugrue (“Scigirls”). Luke Cormican (“Teen Titans Go!”) directs.
“The Villains of Valley View: A Very Villain Christmas” – Special
Christmas comes to Valley View when this all-new special, “The Villains of Valley View: A Very Villain Christmas,” premieres Wednesday, Dec. 6, on Disney+.this sitcom – created by Chris Peterson (“That ‘70s Show”) and Bryan Moore (“Lab Rats”) – follows a family of supervillains, comprised of Vic (James Patrick Stuart, “Gettysburg,” 1993), Eva (Lucy Davis, “Wonder Woman,” 2017) and their three children, Jake (Reed Horstmann, “Our Souls at Night,” 2017),Amy (Isabella Pappas,“the Reckoning”) and Colby (Malachi Barton, “Stuck in the Middle”). Once a part of an evil group called the “League of Villains,” the family is forced to flee their villainous lives when their daughter Amy (the series’ protagonist) jeopardizes their relationship with the League, forcing the group to go on the run, taking refuge in the perfect, ‘human world’ hiding place: Valley View,texas.there, the family hides under a new name – The Maddens – and they must all adjust to normal life, making friends and foes along the way. In this latest special, the Madden family gathers their closest allies to celebrate their first official Christmas in Valley View, learning just how the humans partake in cheer-filled festivities. Dangerous and delightful, this Season 2 episode also stars Kayden Muller-janssen (“Classmates,” 2023), Patricia Belcher (“Jeepers Creepers,” 2001), Steve Blum (“Star Wars: Rebels”),alec Mapa (“Marley & Me,” 2008), Isaiah C. “Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones & Harrison Ford” (2023)
A franchise spanning four decades, the latest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise – “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” – premiered earlier this summer, grossing over $380 million at the global box office. Recently released for viewers at home, the film made its streaming debut alongside this feature-length, documentary companion piece: “Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford‘’ (2023) is now on Disney+. From acclaimed filmmaker Laurent Bouzereau (“The Fabelmans: A Family in Film,” 2023), this behind-the-scenes look at the “Indiana Jones” franchise explores Harrison Ford’s (“Shrinking”) everlasting appeal, delving into the actor’s upbringing and eventual stardom, including, of course, his casting as the iconic Jones and the incredible impact of the films, on both the industry and the world at large. A universe created by masterminds Steven Spielberg (“Schindler’s List,” 1993) and George Lucas (“The Mandalorian”), Disney boasts that the duo “assembled an amazing creative team to collaborate on another cinematic benchmark,” and that this feature promises “never-before-seen footage and interviews with Ford, Spielberg, Lucas, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, producer Frank Marshall, director James Mangold [“Ford v Ferrari,” 2019], and many others as well.”
