ROY DRAPER

Roy L. Draper age 88, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday April 7, 2024 in a local hospital.

Roy was born March 3, 1936, in Queen City, Texas, to Bud and Banna Cox Draper. He was retired from Southwestern Bell; was a Pentecostal by faith; and served on the Queen City Economic Development Board. Roy enjoyed spending time hunting and coaching Little League Baseball in his youth and enjoyed farming and going out to eat with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Ann Draper; son, Rodney Wayne Draper; sister, Mona Brown; brothers, O.L. Draper, J.C. Draper, Gearld Draper, Rachel Draper; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Chiquita Odom Draper of Queen City, Texas; son, Roy Steven Draper and wife Wanda of Queen City, Texas; step-sons, Mark Odom and wife Veronica of Thackerville, Oklahoma, James Odom and wife Kim of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Draper of The Colony, Texas, Chastity Arnold of Longview, Texas; step-grandchildren, Rebecca and Brooke Odom; five great- grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Billy Dupree officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 6 pm to 8 pm, in Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Queen City Cemetery.
