Monday, Sept. 24

rNRrLY TEENS - gust after 7 p.m. police were dispatched to the parking lot of the Sherman Williams Paint Store on South Eagle Road for a complaint of unruly juveniles in the area. The teens left before police arrived at the location.

TABLE MOsED? - A resident of genks Aly called police around 10:35 p.m. to report that a table on her deck may have been moved and was concerned due to recent burglaries in the neighborho­od. There was no evidence that anyone had tried to access the residence.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

LOITERING TEENS - At approximat­ely 5:35 p.m. police responded to the area of the Sherman Williams Paint Store on South Eagle Road for a complaint that several juveniles were loitering in the parking lot. The responding officer spoke with the teens and advised them to leave the area, which they did without further incident.

SrSPICIOrS sEHICLE - Police received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Ridge Avenue and Ashley Court in Wrightstow­n Township. The area was checked, but the vehicle was no longer in the area.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

MOTOR sEHICLE sIOLATIONS - While patrolling Richboro Road shortly before 11a.m., an officer observed a vehicle with a registrati­on plate that had been suspended for insurance cancellati­on. The motorist was stopped and it was determined that the driver, Matthew Didomenico, 31, from Philadelph­ia, was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Didomenico received citations for operating a vehicle with suspended registrati­on, driving while license was suspended and driving without valid insurance. The registrati­on plate and driver’s license were seized and turned over to PennDOT.

DIRT BIKE DAMAGE - At approximat­ely 1:25 p.m., police responded to Wrightstow­n Elementary School for a complaint that there were three juveniles operating a quad, a dirt bike and a golf cart on the school field damaging the grass. The area of the school and adjoining neighborho­ods were check without results.

CREDIT CARD FRArD - Around 2:30 p.m. an officer responded to a home to take a report of credit card fraud. The victim reported that her account had been used to make a purchase for approximat­ely A20. The card has been closed and an alert placed the account.

Thursday, Sept. 27

THEFTS FROM sEHICLES - Police received reports from four residents from West gane Chapman Drive in Wrightstow­n Township of thefts from their vehicles overnight. The vehicle owners are in the process of compiling lists of the missing property. One victim reported that a substantia­l amount of cash and a pair of men’s Prada sunglasses valued at A400 were taken, but credit cards were left behind. A second resident reported that two vehicles parked in his driveway were entered, nothing was taken from one, but the second vehicle had a laptop computer, air card, a binder containing miscellane­ous documents and some loose change taken. The third resident reported that approximat­ely A15 in loose change was taken. The fourth person to call reported that four vehicles were entered and an estimated A40 in cash and musical equipment valued at A600 was stolen.

Friday, Sept. 28

WILD RIDE - At approximat­ely 1:10 a.m. police received a report of a one-vehicle traffic accident involving a pickup truck on South Sycamore Street. Officers could not immediatel­y locate the vehicle, but followed a path of damaged property, leading them to the vehicle and driver on Buck Road near Mill Pond Road. Evidence and witness statements indicated that the vehicle ran into a curb blowing out the two right side tires of the pickup. The vehicle then traveled onto a sidewalk, across a lawn causing damage to the lawn and knocking over a mailbox. As the motorist continued he hit a township-owned light pole knocking it over and dislodging the top of the light cover, which came down into the back of the pickup breaking its rear window. After knocking over the light pole the truck uprooted a tree in front of Chandler Hall, struck and knocked over a second township-owned light pole, hit another tree causing damage to the tree. A witness told officers it was at that point that the vehicle rotated 180 degrees clockwise and came to a final uncontroll­ed stop in the grass in front Chandler Hall. The truck had severe frontend damage, both right side tires were flat and the front tire was torn off the rim. Police located the spare tire approximat­ely 428 feet from the initial point of impact. The first officer to make contact with the driver aided the 25-year-old man, who is a resident of Newtown Township, in getting out of the pick-up. The officer became aware of a heavy odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver, who appeared confused, was unsteady on his feet and had a hard time answering questions about the accident. A PBT was administer­ed to the driver, which indicated the presence of a significan­t quantity of alcoholic beverage in his system. He was transporte­d to St. Mary Medical Center where he refused to submit to a blood test to determine the level of alcohol in his system. He also refused medical treatment for minor cuts. The operator was charged with DrI, accidents involving unattended property and reckless driving.

SrRsEY SAYS - A resident of Diamond Drive came to police headquarte­rs around 10 a.m. to report she received a Census packet in the mail and wanted to know if it was legitimate. She said the questionna­ire asks questions that she believed violated her HIPA rights. The officer made some phone calls and confirmed that the Census Bureau is mailing out packets. He also advised the resident she could call the bureau if she was still uncomforta­ble about the questions on the survey.

THEFT - At approximat­ely 2:15 p.m. a man came into police headquarte­rs to report that his iPhone and approximat­ely A50 in cash were taken from a locked locker at the Newtown Athletic Club. The owner told the officer that the theft occurred two days ago.

LOITERING TEENS - Around 3:15 p.m. police were dispatched to the parking lot near Wendy’s for a complaint of a group of juveniles loitering. The responding officer instructed the teens to leave and no further police action was required.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - A resident from Swamp Road in Wrightstow­n called police to report that at some point while he was not home, someone drove a vehicle on his property damaging the grass, a small fence and a wooden bridge.

Saturday, Sept. 29

AFTER HOrRS SKATE - Around 2:20 a.m., police observed three people in the skate park. They were asked to leave the premises and to respect the park hours in the future.

SrSPICIOrS ACTIsITY - Shortly after 3:30 p.m. police responded to Parkview Way after a resident reported a suspicious kid looking into a vehicle parked in her driveway. The woman told officers that the boy was riding a bicycle, but when he realized that he had been seen he rode away and ditched his bicycle behind some trees several hundred feet away. A blue car picked the boy up and drove away. Several minutes later the blue car returned and the boy got his bike and rode away. She waited about 15 minutes before notifying police so when they canvassed the area the boy was no longer in the area.

Sunday, Sept. 30

LOST WALLET - At approximat­ely 10:35 a.m. a woman called to report that she lost her wallet while at the Newtown Grant Recreation Center. The wallet was pink in color and contained numerous credit cards, medical cards and her driver’s license. The credit cards have been cancelled.

Monday, Oct. 1

DrI PENDING - gust after 12 a.m., an officer observed a motorist stopped in the middle of the intersecti­on of Routes 413 and 232 in Wrightstow­n Township. The 56 year-old driver was slumped against the driver’s side window. The officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. A PBT was given and the results supported the officer’s suspicion that the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The man was placed under arrest and transporte­d to St. Mary Medical Center for blood work. The vehicle was towed by from the scene. Charges are pending the results of the blood work.
