bach year, the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce’s bconomic Development Committee presents a program for business leaders in the area called the “bconomic Forum.” The purpose of the program is to examine issues impacting economic growth in Lower Bucks County and the Delaware salley Region.

The theme for this year’s event is “bconomic Trends in Bucks County and the Region.”

Bucks County Commissioner Rob Loughery will speak about specific economic trends in our area. Commissioner Loughery will also moderate a panel discussion among local CbOs who will share their perspective and expertise on the economy along with their own proven strategies for success during our recent economic times.

Panelists: Craig Baclit (Patch Management Inc., Pothole hillers), Todd Buch (McCafferty Auto droup), Ron Davis (PARu Casino & Racing), Sean dalt (Thompson Networks), Liz Walsh (Bucks County WIB/CareerLink), and dreg Wozniak (St. Mary Medical Center)

The bconomic Development Award is presented at this event each year. This prestigious award, sponsored by serizon, recognizes a business, individual or organization who has improved the economic environment to make Lower Bucks County a better place to live, work and do business.

Chamber members are solicited for the awards and a sub-committee of the Chamber’s bconomic Development Committee works to choose the recipients.

This year’s recipient is dood Friends, Inc., a non-profit human services agency fo- cusing on behavioral health treatment and related services in the continuum of care for chemically dependent adult males. As part of the organization’s comprehensive programming, they require their clients to obtain and maintain full-time employment during their treatment. This generates tax revenues where there was none before. The facility is located in Morrisville.
