Whether you are in the private or SuEliF seFWor, Dn emSloyee or D Eusiness owner, WDNing Wime Wo refleFW on your business and profession­al accomplish­ments and challenges is healthy for you and your business. For mDny, WodDy’s dDy-Wo-dDy Sressures prevent us from taking this time to refleFW. And yeW, when we do, we FDn reFhDrge, re-IoFus Dnd oIWen find WhDW we can approach our challenges with a renewed energy.

In order to meet the priority needs oI our memEers, we hDYe Ddded Dnd enhDnFed SrogrDms, Dnd enFouraged innovation. We have realigned our committee structure and internal staff to ensure that we can continue to create and deliver value to our members. We have created a budget Dnd finDnFiDl reSorWs WhDW Dllow us Wo more FleDrly moniWor SrofiWDEil­iWy Dnd performanc­e which allow us to make EeWWer finDnFiDl deFisions Dnd SroYide input to the committees which are critical to ensuring that programs meet or exceed budget.

As D resulW, we Dre WrDFNing DEoYe budget in member retention. This is the one metric that measures how well we deliver value to our members. Every program that we have conducted this year has met or exceeded the expectatio­ns for participat­ion. We have upgraded our technology in all aspects oI our orgDnizDWi­on-inFluding e-mDils, soFiDl mediD, memEershiS mDnDgemenW, sound sysWem, WeleShone sysWem Dnd use oI WeFhnology in our MFCDIIerWy AuWo GrouS BoDrdroom. We have added partnershi­p events which allow members to offer special events in order to introduce their businesses to our community. We have added roundWDEle­s Ior liNe-minded Eusiness owners to meet and discuss issues that are important to them. We have Iormed D ChDir or Whe BoDrd CirFle (COB CirFle) Wo worN on sSeFiDl SroMects which take advantage of the expertise and passion of this group. We have encouraged involvemen­t of high school students so that they appreciate the role that a chamber plays in the community.

We have received great feedback regDrding our ChDmEer sWDII, led Ey our SresidenW, DDn BDWes. The sWDII is DmDzing. They Dre resSonsiYe, Fommitted and often do things that seem impossible.

So WhDW’s where we Dre. Where Dre we heDding? Our SrioriWy is Wo FonWinue Wo Ee “The VoiFe oI Business” and serve the priority needs of our memEers. As we moYe inWo 2013, we also want to be true to our mission to provide leadership to enhance the economic climate of the area and continue to interact with individual­s and orgDnizDWi­ons WhDW will deliYer EenefiWs Wo Whe Eusiness FommuniWy in Lower BuFNs CounWy. MoYing IorwDrd, our focus is to help our members grow by Eeing D HuE Ior Business Ds well Ds “The VoiFe oI Business”.
