Vulture portends demise of eyesore

aemolition equipment is scheduled to move into place this week to rip down the buildingI which has sat vacant for yearsK At one point it was used as a haunted houseK And there had been some speculation among township historians that it may have once served as a toll house for the vardleyville-Newtown TurnpikeK
The demolition will make way for a new one-story building with a stucco and stone facade that will house the new home of Compre- hensive camily aentistryI a full-service dental practice now located at the pummit pquare phopping Center in neighboring Middletown TownshipK

When the abandoned building comes downI it will be the latest in a string of township eyesores that have disappeared from the landscape over the past four monthsK

And just last weekI a cluster of boarded upI dilapidated houses at Eagle and aurham roads met the wrecking ball to make way for The BirchesI an assisted living facility to be built on a VKS-acre tract across from the Corner Bakery CaféK
