Elsie Marie Foster

Elsie Marie Foster nee Kellett passed peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 7, 2013. Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. An active sportswoman in her youth, she enjoyed Field hockey and Basketball. She was an excellent player, even at 5’4” tall.

Elsie was a lifelong Eastern Star member and attended the Fallsington rnited Methodist Church. She lived in Yardley Borough.

Though small in stature, Elsie had a huge heart and was dear to all who knew her. Her open smile and twinkling eyes warmed our heats and reminded us all that her spirit was with her to the end.

Predeceased by her husband, Edward M. Foster and son, Edward M. Foster Jr., she is survived by daughter -in-law Linda Foster; son and daughter-in-law Steve and Kathy Foster, son and daughter-in-law Tim and Suzanne Foster and grandchildren Danny, Kim, Kurt, David, Michael and William Foster, Stephen Mercer and many great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 11 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Fitzgerald-Sommer Funeral Home on Delaware Avenue (River Road) in Yardley with a service at 1:30.
